Stu Batstone is
the team leader for the discipling ministry of
World Harvest Mission (WHM) near Philadelphia.
He mentors church planters, pastors,
missionaries, and leaders as well as their
spouses through the year-long Sonship
discipleship curriculum. With his wife,
Ruth Ann,
he leads seminars monthly for WHM on Cultivating
a Gospel Centered Marriage, Cultivating Gospel
Transformation of our Heart, and Cultivating
Gospel Centered Parenting. Stu and Ruth Ann have
ministered in several countries overseas as well
as in the United States, Canada and Mexico. Stu
is a ruling elder in the Presbyterian Church in
America (PCA) and was a founding board member of
CityNet, a Philadelphia focused church planting
network. He has an MA and an MDiv from Trinity
Evangelical Divinity School in Deerfield,
Illinois.
Stu and Ruth Ann helped plant
New Life Church at Five Points where they have
been actively serving since 1983. They have been
married for 44 years and have four married
children – and so far they have eleven
grandkids. They love to travel, bike ride,
snorkel and vacation on Cape Cod.
