Russ joined Harbor Presbyterian Church¹s church-planting team in 2003 with a long-term vision of seeing the cities of San Diego and Tijuana transformed spiritually, socially and culturally with the gospel of Jesus Christ. Russ' role on the church planting team is to plant and develop churches in San Diego¹s South Bay serving as a bridge into Tijuana, Mexico. Harbor Chula Vista is the first church plant in the South Bay and began public worship in October of 2004. Chula Vista is one of the top ten fastest growing cities in North America over the last decade and is strategically located between downtown San Diego and Tijuana, Mexico. Russ also serves as Director of Recruiting for Harbor¹s Church-Planting Center. Russ is married to Diane and they have three children; Joshua, Caleb and Kate.
