For more than 10 years, Jason Sears has been leading people in worship through music and creative arts. Currently serving as Worship Pastor at Oak Mountain Church in Birmingham, his responsibilities include recruiting, training and shepherding over 200 worship volunteers, planning and leading all weekend services, arranging music, leading the choir, praise teams, bands, and technology teams, and overseeing graphic design, video production and website direction. Jason’s passion for creativity is matched only by his desire to share the gospel’s message of Grace throughout every any creative means necessary. His ministry passion involves being able to get folks excited about what could be and then help empower them to make it happen. He also travels around the country singing and playing piano for Dove-award winning singer/songwriter Laura Story. He writes his own music, and has recorded 3 albums over the past several years. He has led worship for several national conferences, and was most recently was a speaker at the National Worship Leader Conference in Leawood, Kansas. Jason has been married to his wife, Mandy, for more than 12 years and they have 3 sons – Drake, Drew, and Drennen.
